There are many obstacles to our growth as leaders.
Leaders who operate from an unconscious place are more likely to make decisions from fear and overwhelm. Fear leads to an overriding concern for things like status, power, and profit for the sake of profit. Overwhelm leads to disarray and indecisiveness.
Operating from self-awareness leads to showing up fully with all that we are capable of; knowing intuitively what is needed, what our role is, what we are uniquely suited to bring; and connecting more effectively with others to achieve common goals.
We need a different sort of leader to guide us through these changing times. And for these leaders, having a solid foundation emotionally and psychologically matters as much as having a solid foundation of knowledge, expertise, and experience. I focus on the former.
